On Friday, May 2, 2008, from 6:15 to 7:15 pm there will be an art sale — Art Jam — at the Roslindale Congregational Church to benefit the installation of a George Greenamyer kinetic sculpture in Roslindale.

The Art Jam is part of the ongoing effort of Roslindale Village Main Street and the Roslindale Public Art Council to bring the Greenamyer sculpture Traffic to Roslindale. Traffic will be installed on the traffic island at the intersection of Belgrade and Corinth Streets, acting as a playful and colorful gateway to the Roslindale Village business district.

The Art Jam will be held in conjunction with the Jazz in the Square concert series featuring the Grace Kelly Band. Vocalist/saxophonist Grace Kelly is a sixteen-year-old music protégé from Brookline, MA with a growing international reputation.

This promises to be a fun evening to support a great cause.
