A Look Back at 2011, and a Look Forward to 2012
Posted: January 16, 2012 at 11:40 am2011 was a year of extraordinary accomplishments in Roslindale Village, including the Egg Hunt, the Farmers’ Market, the Summer Stroll, A Taste of Roslindale, the Holiday Tree Lighting, Small Business Saturday, and the Holiday Wander. And there’s more to come! We’re looking forward to building on last year’s successes to create an even more vibrant and welcoming community in 2012.
Here’s a “sneak peek” at some of what’s coming up in the year ahead:
- We’re working hard to diversify the district by supporting existing businesses and attracting new ones.
- We’re eagerly anticipating the installation of “Traffic,” an art sculpture designed exclusively for Roslindale Village by George Greenamyer, at the corner of Belgrade and Corinth.
- We’re working closely with the MBTA on a project that will illuminate the Robert Street Bridge, creating a stunning gateway into the district..
We look forward to sharing our progress on these and other initiatives in the months to come, and we invite you to participate in our efforts to enhance our shared community by shopping, dining, volunteering your time, or making a financial contribution to RVMS in 2012. Thank you!
