Donate:
70% of the RVMS operating budget comes from resident memberships and local business sponsorships. Your resident or business membership donation is an investment in Roslindale and helps us continue to preserve and improve community.

Volunteer:
RVMS is a community-driven and governed organization with only one paid employee. We rely on participation from countless volunteers to provide the programs, services and events that help make Roslindale a great place to live and work. RVMS wants to hear your voice and depends on diverse representation to make Roslindale a place everyone can take pride in.

Shop Locally:
Every dollar you spend at a Roslindale business makes Roslindale a stronger neighborhood. When you shop locally- and independently-owned businesses, your money is re-circulated over and over and creates up to 75% more tax revenue to our community. Your patronage also helps maintain jobs in the area, reduces automobile-dependency, pollution and fuel requirements, and preserves consumer choice and competitive pricing for goods and services.

2011 was a year of extraordinary accomplishments in Roslindale Village, including the Egg Hunt, the Farmers’ Market, the Summer Stroll, A Taste of Roslindale, the Holiday Tree Lighting, Small Business Saturday, and the Holiday Wander.  And there’s more to come!  We’re looking forward to building on last year’s successes to create an even more vibrant and welcoming community in 2012.

Here’s a “sneak peek” at some of what’s coming up in the year ahead:

  • We’re working hard to diversify the district by supporting existing businesses and attracting new ones.
  • We’re eagerly anticipating the installation of “Traffic,” an art sculpture designed exclusively for Roslindale Village by George Greenamyer, at the corner of Belgrade and Corinth.
  • We’re working closely with the MBTA on a project that will illuminate the Robert Street Bridge, creating a stunning gateway into the district..

We look forward to sharing our progress on these and other initiatives in the months to come, and we invite you to participate in our efforts to enhance our shared community by shopping, dining, volunteering your time, or making a financial contribution to RVMS in 2012.  Thank you!
