LANA welcomes ALL residents (homeowners, tenants, businesses, families, individuals) to improve our neighborhood and participate in LANA's activities. Currently, there are two active committees which plan and organize LANA's activities: Membership & Outreach and Planning & Improvement.

Working Together
Sharing ideas and time, LANA Members:

Worked with neighbors, the City and Rogerson Communities to secure financing to redevelop the Longfellow School building into Senior Housing, beginning fall 1997.

Worked with residents, the City and Checkmate Cafe to open a family restaurant.

Beautify the neighborhood by planting bulbs each spring in the Arboretum and around Fallon Field with the Parks Department.

Co-Sponsor the Roslindale Day Parade's Field Day Events at Fallon Field and march in the parade.

Residents from the LANA neighborhood initially organized in 1989 to work on the redevelopment of the vacant Longfellow School building located in the heart of our neighborhood. After many years of successfully working together, LANA was formed as a nonprofit corporation in 1995.
