Roslindale enters Fall with plenty of fun family activities for you to participate in. Save the dates - October 1 and 2 for a full weekend of events sure to entertain and delight.
- Saturday October 1 - Harvest Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday October 1 - 1st Annual Roslindale Open Studios from 12-5 p.m.
- Sunday October 2 - Roslindale Day Parade - 1 p.m. Start

There are 54 artists, 24 locations and 16 artists showing in their own studios Mediums: painting, photography, sculpture, fiber arts, mixed media, printmaking, digital media, calligraphy, drawing, jewelry and more! The event will take place on Saturday October 1, 2005 and Sunday October 2, 2005 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Jury Show Reception on Friday September 30 from 6- 8 p.m. at the Longfellow House, 885 South Street. Roslindale Village Main Street announces a public meeting for the discussion of WiFi. The meeting will take place at the Roslindale Community Center on Wednesday September 28 at 7 p.m. At the meeting representatives from WAG (wireless advocacy group) will be available to answer questions. Information about WAG is available at Web Site Now operational in the Roslindale Village business district, Boston is bringing wireless technology to Boston's communities through the Main Streets WiFi Initiative. The Initiative will create a free entry point for residents to access the Internet, help attract and retain visitors to the districts and educate and inform local residents & businesses on the use and applications of wireless technology. Registration is now open for the 8th Annual Cooperative Bank Trick or Treat Trot. The 5K race takes place this year on Saturday October 29. Race time is 10 a.m.
- Distance: 5 Kilometers (3.1 miles)
- Description: Urban, varied terrain, hilly, arrows at all turns, mile markers
- "T" Shirts: First 300 race entrants, treat bags
- Halloween Costumes: Welcome! Encouraged!
- Awards: 14 and under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40- 49; 50-59; 60+; wheelchairs. Prizes will be awarded to top male and female in each category

MIT Study Results
Roslindale Village Main Street will be holding a community meeting on Tuesday September 20 (tentative date) to share the results of a study done by Professor Karl Seidman's Department of Urban Studies & Planning at MIT done last spring. For four months RVMS worked with graduate students as they developed a three stage process that began with an inventory of existing conditions, continued with the development of a strategic vision and ended with the formulation of a concrete set of recommendations.
