About the cause: On the morning of December 18, a car crashed into 6 and 8 Corinth Street in Roslindale Village, severely damaging the building and many of the 12 small businesses located inside. This building is at the heart of our small business community, housing a group of services and people that are part of what make our neighborhood a home.
After the crash, RVMS and the community rallied around those impacted. Neighboring businesses volunteered empty rooms and within 4 days, RVMS was able to provide temporary locations for all businesses who requested one. With the support of RVMS, $70,000 were raised through GoFundMe which the board of directors then equitably distributed to all impacted businesses. Three months later, these funds have been exhausted and these businesses are still in need of support as they recover from the impact. Together with Roslindale Comedy, we will come together again as a community to raise more funds for our friends and for a well deserved laugh along the way.
