The Free Drop-In Improv Class [in person]

Have you been interested in taking an improv class but not sure if it’s for you?

Try The Free Drop In, our 75-minute drop-in workshop. The Free Drop-In is a fun, low-pressure, low cost, low carb way to get up on your feet, learn some improv basics, and play ComedySportz-style improv games with our Artistic Director, Courtney Pong.

It’s 100% FREE! It’s the perfect introduction to the CSz Level 1: Introduction to Improv class. No experience is required.

What will you do at our improv open house?

• Group warmup
• Learn some basic improv exercises
• Work together in small and large groups
• Laugh

Our Free Intro Classes are taught by our instructors who have years of experience on stage and in the classroom. Their goal is to teach you basic improv skills and make sure you have a good time.

Some things to keep in mind:

• Improv is a SET OF SKILLS, you can PRACTICE!
• You will never be picked on or forced to perform
• We practice and enforce a non-judgmental atmosphere of self and others
• No need to be funny or clever
• Our coaches excel at creating a safe and supportive environment

*Safety protocols to expect: Instructors will be vaccinated. Workshoppers are required to show proof of vaccination (photo or physical). Instructors and Workshoppers will be required to follow the latest safety recommendations from the CDC, Boston Public Health Commission, and the Massachusetts State Governor’s Office. We offer disposable masks at the theater if you forget yours. We’re operating at a maximum of 18 students, and a minimum of 2 to run the class. So tell a friend!
