ROSLINDALE VILLAGE MAIN STREET MARKETS

SUMMER FARMERS MARKET:​
​
Every Saturday, rain or shine, from June to November, the Roslindale Village Main Street (RVMS) Summer Farmers Market takes place for 25 weeks in Adams Park, Roslindale, from 9am to 1:30pm. The market attracts around 3,000 visitors each week, offering fresh, local produce, specialty foods, children's activities, and live music performances.
Market dates: First Saturday of June - Saturday before Thanksgiving
Who's qualified: Farmers, craft vendors, specialty food vendors, alcohol vendors, and Roslindale storefronts. Vendor address must be within a 200-mile radius of the farmers market.

​​WINTER FARMERS MARKET:​
​
Every Saturday from 10am to 1pm, the RVMS Winter Farmers Market is held at the Emerald Society on Birch Street in the heart of Roslindale Square for 13 weeks. Each week, around 500 shoppers gather to enjoy fresh produce and local goods.
Market dates: First Saturday of January - Last Saturday of March
Who's qualified: Farmers, craft vendors, specialty food vendors, alcohol vendors, and Roslindale storefronts. Vendor address must be within a 200-mile radius of the farmers market.
Vendor application period: October 1 - October 31

HOLIDAY MARKET:​
​
The RVMS Holiday Market takes place on Birch Street Plaza, the Sophia's Grotto Courtyard, and the Emerald Society from 4pm to 8pm on the second Thursday of December, rain or shine. The market attracts approximately 1,000 shoppers.
Event date: December 11, 2025
Who's qualified: Craft vendors, food vendors, and Roslindale storefronts
Vendor application period: October 1 - October 31

MARKET POLICIES FOR VENDORS

Payment
Payment is expected in full prior to any Roslindale Village Main Street market.
Farmers Market vendors will receive a decision letter inviting them to participate. Vendors are expected to pay for all the dates agreed upon in their decision letter for the market. Summer Farmers Market payments are broken into two parts: a first-half and a second-half payment.

Holiday Market: November 14, 2025
Winter Market: December 1, 2025
Summer Market:

If you apply and are accepted after the season begins, you will be expected to make payment immediately upon receipt of the invoice for the weeks you were accepted.
What Vendors Should Bring
Vendors must bring their own equipment, including tents, tables, and any other necessary equipment. Vendors are permitted to sell only the items and products listed on their application form.
Attendance and Space
Vendors are expected to attend every week/event to which they have committed. There are no refunds for cancellations. Vendors are expected to arrive within the setup window.
Markets take place rain or shine. In rare cases where weather conditions create a serious hazard, the Event Manager will contact vendors by phone to inform them of a market cancellation.
Summer Farmers Market specific policies:

Vendors with more than seven recorded tardies (setting up later than 9:15am) will not be permitted to set up at their regular location and will be moved to a different spot on the map.

Vendors with excessive tardiness (more than 10 offenses) will receive fewer dates for the next season or may not be invited back, at the discretion of RVMS.

Cancellation policy: In case of vendor cancellation, vendors must contact the Event Manager at least one day in advance directly via email (events@roslindale.net) or by phone at (617) 327-4065.
We will do our best to accommodate rescheduling as space permits, but refunds will not be issued.
Space assignment: The Event Manager will assign locations to vendors a few days prior to each Farmers Market. Maps are emailed to vendors and should be reviewed by vendors each week. Every attempt is made to assign weekly vendors the same spots each week, but space assignment may need to change at the discretion of the manager. Every effort will be made to provide notice of such changes one week prior to the space reassignment.
Vendor requests for specific locations will be taken into consideration, but may not be able to be accommodated. Often, the Boston Parks Department's requirement that the farmers market take all possible steps to protect the turf in Adams Park requires specific vendor placement; please be considerate. Vendors may not give their assigned space to another party.​​

During both the Summer and Winter Markets, parking is available during the market at the Lower Commuter Rail Lot off of Belgrade Avenue (pay $2 using the PayByPhone app) and the free Taft Hill Terrace Municipal Parking Lot shown on the map below.
