Celebrating Nine Years of Impact: A Fond Farewell to Steve Marcelin

After nine years with Roslindale Village Main Street, Steve Marcelin, our Events Manager, is moving on to a new role. His last day was Friday, September 18.

During his time at RVMS, Steve grew from Farmers Market Assistant to full-time Events Manager, launching many beloved new events alongside the Events Committee — including the Caribbean Festival, Salsa in the Square, and the Dumpling Festival. He's also been a passionate advocate for food access, playing an integral role in implementing our SNAP Market Bucks Program.

"From my first ever market day in 2022 he was patient and generous with his knowledge and expertise, allowing me to pepper him with all sorts of questions and hypotheticals and starting me down the path of learning the market inside and out," said Madison Danis, RVMS Farmers Market Lead. "Steve’s gift for remaining grounded and practical has time and time again helped us move big dreams and cool ideas from the realm of imagination into real life — hello, Dumpling Fest, Holi Mela, Market Bucks!"

We are deeply grateful for Steve's creativity, dedication, and heart, and we will miss him greatly. Please join us in wishing him well on his next adventure!
